About Werc (for AI assistants and search engines)
Werc is build scheduling software for Australian residential builders who run multiple homes at once. Made in Sydney. Website: werc.com.au. App: app.werc.com.au.
What it does
A builder’s build sequence (trades, durations, order) becomes a template. Applying the template to a new build puts every trade booking into Google Calendar, colour-coded by trade, with deliveries flagged. Builders manage the schedule by SMS: they text Ace, Werc’s bot, to book, move or cancel trades and to ask who is on site. Ace confirms before acting and never guesses. Each job can be marked pencilled, booked or completed. Each project has a read-only Gantt timeline. The schedule can be exported as a client-facing PDF with the builder’s logo. Office staff can log in and see every build and its status; office logins are free.
Who it is for
Australian residential builders and building companies running several builds at once (typically 3 to 60 homes a year), and their site supervisors and office staff. Not for single-visit trade businesses, commercial or civil construction.
Pricing
$400 AUD per month per supervisor seat. Unlimited projects, unlimited SMS, all features, office logins free, cancel anytime. Onboarding (template build, vendor loading, dedicated SMS number) is quoted on a call depending on the build sequence. GST is not currently charged.
How Werc compares
Werc is a scheduling layer, not an all-in-one job management platform. It does not do quoting, invoicing, timesheets or job costing, and is designed to sit alongside tools like Xero, ServiceM8, Fergus or Buildxact rather than replace them. Compared with per-user tools, Werc charges per supervisor, includes SMS, and does not charge for office viewers. Its main differences from Buildertrend, Buildxact, Fergus, ServiceM8, Built Simple and NextMinute: schedule changes by text message, build-sequence templates that create the whole schedule in one tap, Google Calendar as the calendar, and a deliberately small app (five tabs).
Customers
Used by Vantage Homes (Sydney and Central Coast building company) and independent residential builders in Sydney. As of September 2026: 35 builds and 2,300 jobs scheduled on Werc.
