Residential Builder · South West Sydney

The Problem

Every build in his head, 100 calls a day.

Trav runs residential builds across South West Sydney with a tight, fast sequence and the same trades on every job. Before Werc, all of it lived in his head and his phone. No calendar, no spreadsheet. On a busy day he was fielding around 100 calls: trades checking dates, suppliers confirming deliveries, clients asking how it’s going.

He called every trade twice before they were due, two weeks out and one week out, just to make sure they’d show.

I don’t do dashboards. I just needed something to do it for me.

The System

His sequence, his calendar, his phone.

We took Trav’s sequence, his durations and his vendors and built his template. Every new build is one tap and every trade is in his Google Calendar. He gets a text at 6am with who’s on site. He texts Ace when something moves. Sixteen builds have run through it since April.

The Feature Trav Asked For

The client schedule.

Clients kept asking Trav how the build was going. He was screen-recording his calendar and sending them the video.

He asked if he could just send them the schedule. Now one tap exports a PDF with his business name on it: every week, every trade, every delivery, and a progress bar on the front page. Vendor names hidden. He sends it at the first site meeting and the ‘how’s it going’ calls stop.

Sending clients the schedule with my name on it, that’s the thing. They think I’m the most organised builder they’ve met.

The Result

Builders telling builders.

Trav has referred three builders to Werc, including the building company he subcontracts to. Not marketing. One builder telling his mates it works.
